
Cephas Delalorm (PhD), is an experienced lecturer and a passionate advocate for inclusive and equitable quality education for all. His strong knowledge and skills in language literacy are fundamental to achieving SDG 4: Quality Education—together with our partners. Alongside his academic work, he is training and leading an agro-business social enterprise and facilitating environmental sustainability practices, which is a unique blend of academic expertise and practical experience to his role.
Cephas has a deep understanding of the importance of language literacy skills to academia and industry and he envisioned to close the gap between them to promote an equitable and inclusive communications to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), reaching all segments of society including the marginalized and vulnerable groups, with clear, understandable and culturally appropriate information about the SDGs. He believes in empowering freedom of speech, engaging with the marginalized groups in the Global South ensuring that voices are heard in the communication process for a sustainable future.
Cephas holds PhD in Linguistics from SOAS, University of London; Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Linguistics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology; and a Bachelor (B.A) of Arts Hons. Degree in Linguistics and Music from the University of Ghana; Legon, Accra.
Cephas has assisted many university students and youth to make their dreams come true. He started his teaching career by serving as a Teaching Assistance in the University of Ghana, Legon; later as a lecturer in the University of Education, Winneba; and currently as a lecturer at the University of Environment and Sustainable Development. He has also served as a secretary to the Vegetarian Association of Ghana.
In his current role as a Country Director, he is responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight duties to ensure that, with host country partners, the development and implementation of country programs and projects are achieved in line with our visions, and that projects are responsive to regional development needs.
Cephas is an agro-business entrepreneur and an advocate for renewable energy technologies. He is a bee keeper; an organic farmer in vegetable such as pepper, tomato, okro and garden eggs; and a cocoa farmer.
Cephas is a highly skilled entrepreneur and experienced in the tertiary education with a deep understanding of the SDGs, and the strategic intervention of humanitarian aid for system change. He is an invaluable asset to DALET non-profit organization, our partners, and the district assemblies that we serve at the communities level.
