Namita Ghimire, the President of the Development Alliance for Literacy Education and Training (DALET) is the founder of Human Harmony Nepal, a humanitarian organization that is purposefully dedicated to the social development of women and children living in extreme poverty in Nepal. Namita has been President of DALET since March 2021, leading the organization’s work across the United States of America, Nepal, Indian, Bangladesh, and Ghana with more than 30 staff and 500 volunteers.

She has over 15 years of experience in business management, including Non-profit Organization Management, Commerce, and Financial Management. She also collaborates extensively in the pursuit of Intersectional Gender Justice, and she advocates against structural barriers that work against women and children to access rights, opportunities, and resources, and from living life in its fullness.

She has also served in various humanitarian leadership positions, including as Special Events Coordinator for the Global Change Makers Award of Project 100 organization in Indian. In her current role as President, Namita is responsible for managing urban development programs of faith for achieving a free society. She also leads DALET's charity response efforts for remote communities in Nepal.

Alongside her role, she is the President of the International Women’s Parliament, which leads the advocacy for women empowerment for gender equality, exercise of power and agency for a better world. Namita is a trained social worker in Social Protection and Development. She holds a Certificate in Non-profit Organization Management from Philanthropy University. In addition, she holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance from Manmohan Memorial College and she is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Commerce (Finance Option) from the same College.

Namita’s deep faith motivates her to serve others. She believes in a world in which all women and children, and particularly the poorest of the poor, have been empowered to have access to opportunities, power, agency, and leadership at all levels to show change and sustainable impact.
